Ladies and gentlemen, linda Perry is back with her new band "Deep Dark Robot". In recent years, the former 4 Non Blondes front girl has been writing, producing and helping shape the careers of some of the worlds most prolific artists such as Pink, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys and Courtney Love. Deep Dark Robot's single "Won't You Be My Girl" is the debut single from the bands EP entitled "8 Songs About A Girl". The single is a beautiful plea for the affections of a dream girl, rapped in pounding bass lines, screaming guitar solos and Linda's own beautiful rock style vocals. The single has a much greater feel of hard core rock music in contrast to the 4 Non Blondes days. The song is beautifully written and battles many personal conflicts to which many can relate.
The band has started touring in the US this year.
The album is out now to buy in stores and on iTunes.
(Currently only in the USA)

Lady Gaga - Born This Way - The Country Road Version
Yesterday (24/03/2011) Lady Gaga released a stripped back country version of her smash hit single, Born This Way. Produced by herself and the brilliant Fernando Garibay, the track is a very soulful rendition of the already lyrically hard hitting track, and features new vocals and even a few new lyrics!

Introducing Jonny James

JJ has come into a pop world dominated by Lady Gaga rip off's and provocative stage performances with his own views on how music should be created and put across.
"I’m making serious comments on my generation and our views on love and how it’s changed, sex, violence, drugs, alcohol, youth culture and our attitudes to our world"
Currently working with music label EMI, JJ has already built up a small number of demo singles. (of which you can hear here at the links below) "Monstar" is by far the most catchy song so far in which he confronts the issues with the fame in modern day society and his personal experiences with it. Clever catchy production, soft vocals and a bitching guitar solo makes this song a sure chart contender.
As well as reviling the likes of Justin Bieber for chronic tweeting (@JonnyJOfficial), JJ constantly stays in touch personally with fans by opening personal FaceBook profiles accepting all his fans and interacts with them on a one to one basis!
Overall Jonny James' music is a unique and refreshing look on how young male pop artists can evolve from the standard. Unlike current trends where young cute artists fill there valuable album space with clichés of how there hearts were broken by girls and "the one" and regale us of how there will be no other, JJ has gone beyond the norm to address matters somewhat more pressing and frankly more interesting whilst still maintaining and interesting and catchy sound!
★★★★ Four Stars for the little cutey with the big voice!
